Honoring Excellence: MRSAFPI’s Achiever Awards Ceremony

-Aman Arora Congratulates Young Officers; Institute Hailed as Premier Feeder for Armed Forces

CHANDIGARH, December 17

In a ceremony underscoring the Punjab government’s commitment to nurturing the aspirations of its youth under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI) in SAS Nagar celebrated the outstanding achievements of its alumni by conferring the prestigious Achiever Awards on eight recently commissioned officers.

The awards recognised eight ‘AFPIANs’ commissioned into the Defence Services in 2025—seven in November/December and one in March. The young officers engaged with current cadets, sharing valuable experiences from their pre-commissioning training at various academies and inspiring them to serve the state and nation with distinction.

Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora extended heartfelt congratulations to the awardees, stating: “Their success will inspire Punjab’s youth to serve the nation with honour and bring pride to Punjab.”

MRSAFPI Director Major General Ajay H. He highlighted the robust support from the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Minister Aman Arora, in creating opportunities for Punjab’s youth to join the Armed Forces. “MRSAFPI is emerging as a premier feeder institute for the Defence Forces,” he added.

Since its inception in 2011, MRSAFPI has established itself as a key pipeline for officer recruitment. To date, 278 cadets have secured entry into the NDA and other academies, with 186 already commissioned as officers. Additionally, 10 more cadets have received joining letters, while 47 are preparing for their Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews.
