The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Thursday that the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be held across seven venues in England and Wales, with the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London set to stage the final on July 5.

The tournament, expanded to include 12 teams, will feature 33 matches over 24 days, starting June 12, and will follow a group stage and knockout format. This follows the 2024 edition in the UAE, where New Zealand clinched the title by defeating South Africa in the final of a 10-team event.

Qualification and Hosting Details

  • Teams: Eight teams hosts England, Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies – have already secured their spots for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Four additional teams will join them through the Qualifier scheduled next year.
  • Hosting Rights: England and Wales were awarded the hosting rights in 2022, with the seven venues finalized after a detailed selection process.
