The second day of the ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup saw a mix of dominant performances and rain interruptions.
Defending champions India made a strong statement with a commanding victory over the West Indies. India restricted the Windies to a paltry 44 runs, with Joshitha VJ picking up two wickets in her opening over. Aayushi Shukla and Parunika Sisodia chipped in with crucial wickets, while the Indian fielders were exceptional, inducing three run outs.

In reply, India chased down the target with ease, losing only one wicket in 4.2 overs.
Earlier in the day, Sri Lanka delivered a stunning performance, bowling out hosts Malaysia for just 23 runs. Chamudi Praboda (3/5) and Manudi Nanayakkara (2/14) wreaked havoc on the Malaysian batting order, while Dahami Sanethma anchored the Sri Lankan innings with a well-crafted half-century.
