India Retains Women’s Hockey Junior Asia Cup Title

The Indian women’s hockey team successfully defended their Junior Asia Cup title by defeating China in a thrilling penalty shootout.

In a fiercely contested match, both teams showcased robust defensive strategies. China initially took the lead during the third quarter, but India equalized with a crucial goal by Kanika Siwach.

The match was ultimately decided in a nail-biting penalty shootout. Indian goalkeeper Nidhi made critical saves, while shooters Sakshi Rana, Ishika, and Sunelita Toppo delivered under pressure to secure a 3-2 victory for India.
