India has secured its place in the Davis Cup 2025 World Group I stage with a dominant 4-0 victory over Togo in their World Group I play-offs held at the DLTA Complex in New Delhi. India won all four matches in straight sets.
On the final day of the tie, N Sriram Balaji and Rithvik Bollipalli teamed up to defeat Thomas Setodji and Padio Isak 6-2, 6-1 in the doubles rubber. Debutant Karan Singh then sealed the victory for India, overcoming Isak Padio 6-2, 6-3 in the first reverse singles match.

Balaji and Bollipalli controlled the doubles match from the outset, breaking their opponents’ serve twice in the first set to secure a comfortable win. The second set was even more dominant, with the Indian pair winning three games at love and breaking serve twice again for a swift victory.
Karan Singh’s debut match saw him break Isak’s serve twice in the first set to take a commanding lead. In the second set, Singh continued his strong play, breaking serve twice more to go up 4-0. Although he lost his own serve in the following game, he quickly regained his composure and closed out the set and the match.

India had already established a 2-0 lead on Day 1, with Mukund Sasikumar defeating Liova Ajavon 6-2, 6-1 and Ramkumar Ramanathan overwhelming Thomas Setodji 6-0, 6-2.
