India has clinched the T20I series against South Africa with a resounding 135-run victory in the fourth and final match. Under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian team has now won three consecutive T20I series, having previously defeated Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
In a match dominated by records, Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma both scored centuries, powering India to a mammoth total of 283/1. This is the highest total ever chased down in a T20I in South Africa. South Africa’s chase was cut short by some brilliant bowling from Arshdeep Singh, who picked up three wickets in the first three overs. The South African team was bowled out for 148 runs.

Sanju-Tilak’s Centuries Crush South Africa
Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma (36) got Team India off to a blazing start, smashing 73 runs in just 5.5 overs. After Abhishek’s dismissal, Tilak Varma once again took the No. 3 spot. In the previous match, Tilak had scored his maiden century at the same position. Continuing his stellar form, Tilak (120* off 41 balls) teamed up with Sanju (109* off 51 balls) to completely dismantle the South African bowling attack.
The duo stitched an unbeaten 210-run partnership in just 14.1 overs, setting a record for the highest partnership in the history of this format. Both batsmen reached their centuries in style — Sanju in 51 balls and Tilak in just 41. This marked their second centuries of the series, making them the first pair from a full-member nation to score centuries in the same innings in this format.
