Patiala, September 11 (Sports Desk)

In a one-day match at Patiala’s Dhruv Pandav Stadium, Indian Railways, after winning the toss, elected to bat first against Sony Cricket Club. However, their decision backfired spectacularly as they were bundled out for a paltry 97 runs in just 29.4 overs.

Arun of Sony Cricket Club delivered a match-winning bowling performance, claiming four wickets for 26 runs in his seven overs. His lethal bowling spell decimated the Indian Railways batting lineup.

Indian Railways’ innings was marked by a series of early wickets. Openers Nishat and captain Shivam Chaudhary managed only eight and two runs respectively. Samarth Vyas tried to steady the innings but could only contribute 21 runs. The lower order failed to provide any significant resistance.

With the ball, besides Arun, Harshit and captain Yogesh Kumar Choko of Sony Cricket Club also bowled economically, picking up three and two wickets respectively.

Chasing a modest target of 98 runs, Sony Cricket Club now has a golden opportunity to secure a victory.
