Indian shooters excelled at the ISSF World Cup 2025 in Lima, Peru, with Suruchi Singh and Manu Bhaker winning gold and silver, respectively, in the women’s 10m air pistol event. Saurabh Chaudhary also made a strong comeback, earning a bronze in the men’s 10m air pistol event, his first individual ISSF World Cup medal in three years.
In the women’s final, 18-year-old Suruchi Singh scored 243.6 to clinch the gold, outshining two-time Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker, who scored 242.3 for silver. China’s Yao Qianxun, a former junior world champion, took bronze with 219.5. This marks Suruchi’s second consecutive gold in the women’s 10m air pistol at ISSF World Cups this year, following her victory in Buenos Aires (244.6) last week.

Manu Bhaker’s silver is her first medal since winning two bronzes at the Paris 2024 Olympics, having missed the podium in Buenos Aires. In the qualifiers, Suruchi placed third with 582, while Manu was sixth with 578. Other Indian shooters, Sainyam (571, 15th), Surbhi Rao (577, 9th), and Simranpreet Kaur Brar (576, 10th), did not advance to the final, with the latter two competing for Ranking Points Only (RPO).
In the men’s 10m air pistol event, Saurabh Chaudhary, who qualified seventh with 578, secured bronze with a score of 219.1. China’s Hu Kai won gold with 246.4, and Brazil’s Felipe Almeida Wu took silver with 241.0. This is Saurabh’s first individual World Cup medal since his gold in Cairo three years ago. He also partnered with Suruchi Singh for a mixed team bronze in Buenos Aires earlier this year. Varun Tomar, another Indian in the men’s event, finished fourth with 198.1.
