The ICC has unveiled the contenders for the prestigious ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for June 2024. These nominees impressed with their outstanding displays during the recently concluded ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The contenders are:
- Jasprit Bumrah (India): Bumrah spearheaded India’s bowling attack, claiming a remarkable 15 wickets at a miserly average of 8.26, a key factor in their World Cup triumph.
- Rahmanullah Gurbaz (Afghanistan): Gurbaz emerged as the tournament’s leading run-scorer, amassing 281 runs at a healthy strike rate, playing a pivotal role in Afghanistan’s journey to the semi-finals.
- Rohit Sharma (India): Leading India to victory after an 11-year trophy drought, Sharma not only captained with aplomb but also chipped in with a crucial 257 runs, including three vital fifties.
