List of IAS Officers Appointed as Election Observers for Municipal Corporations and Councils Elections
Chandigarh, 13 December
To ensure free, fair, and peaceful elections for Municipal Corporations and Municipal Councils scheduled on 21 December 2024, the Punjab State Election Commission has appointed 22 IAS officers as Election Observers.
An official spokesperson from the Punjab State Election Commission stated that the following IAS officers have been deputed as Election Observers:
- Ghanshyam Thori, IAS – Municipal Corporation, Amritsar
- Arvindpal Singh Sandhu, IAS – Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar
- Puneet Goyal, IAS – Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana
- Anindita Mitra, IAS – Municipal Corporation, Patiala
- Babita, IAS – Municipal Corporation, Phagwara
- Hargunjit Kaur, IAS – Municipal Councils/NPs, Amritsar
- Sanyam Aggarwal, IAS – Municipal Councils/NPs, Bathinda
- Bhupinder Singh, IAS – Municipal Councils/NPs, Barnala
- Amandeep Kaur, IAS – Municipal Councils/NPs, Fatehgarh Sahib
- Upkar Singh, IAS – Municipal Councils/NPs, Ferozepur
