L&T’s Impact: A ₹5 Crore Gift for Punjab’s Flood Recovery

In a significant humanitarian gesture, the staff and management of Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a leading multinational company, have contributed ₹5 crore to the Chardikala Mission, an initiative launched by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to support the rehabilitation of flood victims in the state.

Contribution Details

The cheque was presented to the Chief Minister by DK Sen (Board of Director), Suresh Narang (CEO, Nabha Power Plant), Jaswant Singh (Branch Manager, Chandigarh), and Gaganveer Cheema (Administration Head, Nabha Power Plant). They emphasized that it is L&T’s moral responsibility to aid Punjab’s flood-affected communities during this crisis. The company expressed solidarity with the victims, stating that the ₹5 crore donation reflects their commitment to supporting those impacted by the natural disaster.

Chardikala Mission

Chief Minister Mann expressed gratitude to L&T for their generous contribution, noting that several philanthropists have already supported the Chardikala Mission. He described the mission as a global fundraising campaign aimed at raising funds for the rehabilitation of victims of the 2025 Punjab floods.

Mann highlighted the initiative’s ethos, stating, “The Chardikala Mission embodies the eternal Sikh spirit of resilience and optimism in the face of adversity. It is a call for Punjabis worldwide to unite as one family to rebuild lives affected by this unprecedented hardship.” He urged Punjabis globally to contribute generously to create a stronger, revitalized Punjab.

The Chief Minister assured complete transparency and accountability, pledging that every penny collected will be utilized judiciously for the welfare and rehabilitation of flood victims. The mission focuses on providing comprehensive support to rebuild lives and infrastructure in the flood-ravaged regions of Punjab.
