“Massive Turnout at Health Insurance Camp in Patiala Led by Tejinder Mehta”

Patiala, April 23
A Health Insurance Registration Camp was successfully organized in Ward No. 34 under the leadership of District Planning Committee Chairman and Aam Aadmi Party District President Tejinder Mehta. The camp witnessed participation not only from local residents but also from people across different parts of the city, who came forward to get their health insurance cards issued.

Addressing the media, Tejinder Mehta highlighted that the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme is one of the state government’s key welfare initiatives, aimed at ensuring health security for every eligible family. He stated that the scheme offers cashless treatment, significantly reducing the financial burden of expensive medical care on common households.

He further informed that nearly 40 lakh families across Punjab have already been issued health insurance cards, and the number continues to grow. The government’s objective is to ensure that no eligible family is left out, and for this purpose, registration camps are being conducted regularly at various levels.

Mehta emphasized that the scheme is emerging as a strong pillar of health security for the poor and middle class. Through such camps, the registration process is made simple and accessible, allowing more people to benefit.
