“Minister Khudian Distributes Jobs Letters to 8 Candidates on Compassionate Grounds”
Chandigarh/SAS Nagar, April 24
Punjab Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian, along with Punjab Mandi Board Chairman Harchand Singh Barsat, distributed appointment letters to eight candidates on compassionate grounds at the headquarters of the Punjab Mandi Board in SAS Nagar.
These appointments were made under the policy of the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, aimed at providing timely employment to the dependents of deceased employees as a support measure for their families.
Addressing the gathering, Gurmeet Singh Khudian stated that the government is committed to providing jobs to youth strictly on merit, without any recommendation. He highlighted that more than 65,000 government jobs have already been given to young people in the state.
Congratulating the newly appointed candidates, he urged them to carry out their duties with honesty, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility.

He added that this initiative would offer significant financial and emotional support to the affected families, while also enabling the new recruits to contribute to the development of Punjab and the Mandi Board. Senior officials of the Punjab Mandi Board were also present on the occasion.
