Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, today held its Convocation-2026, where degrees were awarded to postgraduate and undergraduate students. The ceremony was inaugurated by Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) Rattan Singh, Vice Chancellor of Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, Patiala. Dr. Jaswinder Singh Brar, Dean of Academic Affairs at Punjabi University, Patiala, graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. Col. Karminder Singh, Member of the College Management Committee, was also present.
The event commenced with Saraswati Vandana and Shabad Gayan, followed by a Guard of Honour presented by the college’s NCC wings to the dignitaries.

Welcoming the Chief Guest, new graduates, and guests, Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal presented a concise report highlighting the college’s outstanding achievements in academics, sports, extracurricular activities, and national and international competitions. He emphasized that Multani Mal Modi College not only provides world-class education but is also dedicated to nurturing students as future nation-builders and socially responsible citizens.
In his convocation address, Prof. (Dr.) Rattan Singh congratulated the new graduates and postgraduates. He noted that today’s world is marked by complex global challenges, rapid technological advancements, and intelligent machines. He urged the students to “think out of the box” in their respective fields and to apply their knowledge and skills toward creating a better society and driving positive social change.
Guest of Honour Prof. Jaswinder Singh Brar encouraged the graduates to channel their potential and energy into building a more humane and democratic society. He congratulated them, stating that quality education has the power to transform millions of lives, and it is the collective responsibility of educated individuals to dedicate their knowledge and skills for the welfare of society.
Col. Karminder Singh, Member of the College Management Committee, also extended his congratulations to the fresh graduates and called upon them to use their education for the betterment of society.
Dr. Ajit Kumar (Registrar) and Dr. Kuldeep Kumar (Controller of Examinations) announced that a total of 498 degrees were conferred during the 2024-2025 session across the faculties of Science, Arts, Commerce, Management, and Computer Sciences.
Vice Principal Prof. Jagdeep Kaur, along with the Deans of various faculties, presented the students for the conferment of degrees.
Prof. Jagdeep Kaur proposed the vote of thanks. The stage was efficiently conducted by Dr. Bhanvi Wadhwan, Dr. Varun Jain, and Dr. Rupinder Singh Dhillon.
