MRSAFPI Achieves New Milestone: 13 Cadets Join NDA & Other Defence Academies in Two Months

Chandigarh, January 17

The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI), SAS Nagar (Mohali), has achieved a significant milestone with 13 cadets securing admission to the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA) and other esteemed defence training academies within the past two months.

Announcing this today, Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora stated that this achievement brings the total number of cadets joining various defence academies since the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab Government assumed office to 66. This remarkable success underscores the state government’s commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of youth aiming for a career in the armed forces.

Eight cadets – Armaanpreet Singh, Keshav Singla, Suryavardhan Singh, Fatehvir Singh, Suryansh Thakur, Bhavteveer Singh, Raghav Sharma, and Sahil Sharma – have joined the NDA, Khadakwasla (Pune) for the NDA-153 Course. Aniket Sharma joined the Cadet’s Training Wing (CTW) at Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, while Manas Taneja joined the CTW at Secunderabad, Telangana, for the Technical Entry Scheme (TES)-52 Course. Vasu Mehta joined the Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal, for the 217 AFA Course. Jaskaran Singh (from MRSAFPI CTW) joined the 217 AFA Course, and Prashant Kumar (from MRSAFPI CTW) joined the 92 RVYO (Remount Veterinary Young Officer) Course at the Remount Veterinary Corps Centre & College, Meerut.

Significantly, Cadet Armaanpreet Singh secured the top position in the All India Merit List for the NDA-153 Course, while Keshav Singla achieved an All India Merit Rank of 15 in the same course. Minister Arora congratulated the cadets on their achievements and wished them success in their defence careers.

Major General Ajay H Chauhan, VSM, Director of MRSAFPI, added that five more cadets from the institute are awaiting joining letters for upcoming courses, while the 13th Course cadets are currently undergoing Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews.
