Chandigarh, December 14:
A National Lok Adalat was organized across Punjab on December 14, 2024, under the guidance of Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia, Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and Executive Chairman of the Punjab State Legal Services Authority.
Key Highlights:
- Massive Caseload: Approximately 3.54 lakh cases were taken up and resolved across 365 benches.
- Diverse Cases: The Lok Adalat addressed a wide range of cases, including civil disputes, domestic issues, property disputes, and criminal matters.
- Alternative Dispute Resolution: The initiative promoted the use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms to resolve disputes amicably.
