No File, No Delay – CM Mann Delivers Justice at Jalandhar Lok Milni

CM Mann: Lok Milni is the Best Platform for Redressing People’s Grievances – Punjab Leads the Nation in Direct Public Engagement

AAP Government Committed to Honest, Accountable Governance and Fulfilling Every Promise to the People

Jalandhar, February 12

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Jalandhar for the second time in just one month on Thursday, reinforcing his government’s focus on direct and responsive public interaction. He held a Lok Milni (public grievance redressal meeting) at his residence in the city, where thousands of people from Jalandhar and surrounding areas gathered to share their concerns.

The Chief Minister personally listened to the grievances, issued immediate instructions to concerned officials, and ensured on-the-spot resolution of many issues. Describing the Lok Milni as the most effective and citizen-centric mechanism for addressing complaints on a single platform, CM Mann highlighted that Punjab is the only state in the country where the head of government personally conducts such comprehensive exercises to ensure public welfare.

He emphasized the AAP government’s unwavering commitment to resolving every problem faced by Punjabis with complete honesty, transparency, and accountability. “Lok Milnis are the best way to redress grievances at one place, gather feedback from the masses, and enhance good governance,” he said. “There is no other state that matches this pro-people initiative. It has proven highly effective in helping every section of society, serving as a unique bridge where the entire government comes together to solve people’s problems in a planned manner.”

Proudly noting Punjab’s distinction, the Chief Minister added: “It is a matter of immense pride that Punjab is the only state where the Chief Minister personally undertakes such efforts for public welfare. Lok Milni promotes holistic development, evaluates officer performance, and bridges the gap between the government and the people—something no other Chief Minister in the country does to this extent.”

CM Mann stressed that Lok Milni transcends politics, with the sole aim of ushering in development and prosperity. “The government is working tirelessly for the well-being of all citizens through key initiatives already implemented.”

He highlighted major achievements:

  • Youth Empowerment: Over 63,000 jobs provided transparently without corruption or favoritism.
  • Education Reforms: Establishment of Schools of Eminence with smart classrooms, labs, and playgrounds; teachers sent abroad for advanced training; Punjab ranked first in the National Achievement Survey (surpassing even Kerala); specialized coaching for competitive exams like NEET, JEE, CLAT, and more, with students qualifying in top exams.
  • Healthcare: Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna launched for cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh for all 65 lakh families (no income criteria; includes government employees and pensioners); Punjab became the first state to offer free healthcare to all citizens; 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics providing free daily treatment and medicines.
  • Power & Farmers: Uninterrupted 8+ hours of daytime power supply to farm tube wells during paddy season (a first in state history); revival of 18,349 water courses over 6,900 km for better irrigation.
  • Other Initiatives: Free electricity to ~90% households since 2022; closure of 19 toll plazas saving ₹64 lakh daily for the public; ongoing construction of over 49,000 km of rural roads; opening of public libraries for student access.

Looking ahead, CM Mann announced that the government will soon launch a scheme providing ₹1,000 monthly to every woman, with provisions included in the upcoming budget. He reaffirmed that every promise made to Punjabis will be fulfilled, as the government’s agenda remains focused on the state’s progress and the prosperity of its people.

The Chief Minister concluded that Lok Milni programs will continue regularly in the future, strengthening the bond between the government and the masses for responsive, transparent, and people-first governance.
