Overwhelming Interest in Punjab’s Multi Skill Development Centres

Chandigarh, 21 July

The Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) has received an overwhelming response from training partners for the management of three Multi Skill Development Centres (MSDCs). A pre-bid meeting held for this purpose saw a participation of 30 bidders, a first for the department.

Punjab’s Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora expressed satisfaction with the response, stating that it reflects the growing confidence in the state’s initiatives.

The MSDCs in Jalandhar, Ludhiana, and Bathinda are being offered to training agencies through a Request for Proposals (RFP) process. These centers have the capacity to train 1,500 candidates each annually, offering professional courses aligned with industry demands.

Minister Arora commended the PSDM for creating a conducive environment for training partners and industrial associations. He assured continued support to ensure optimal utilization of the MSDCs.
