Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Patiala, Dr. Preeti Yadav, IAS, honored para cricketer Amir Hussain Lone, the Brand Ambassador of Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, at a recent visit by a delegation from the college. Superintendent of Police (SP) Patiala, Md Sarfraz Alam (IAS), was also present.
Dr. Yadav praised Amir’s story as a source of inspiration for the nation and the world, encouraging students to learn from his resilience. She also congratulated Aryans Group of Colleges for appointing him as their Brand Ambassador.

Amir expressed his gratitude to Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman of Aryans Group of Colleges, and shared a message of self-belief and perseverance: “Believe in yourself, your abilities, and your dreams. Surround yourself with positive influences and keep moving forward. You’ll overcome any obstacle and achieve greatness.” Ms. Manpreet Maan, Dean of Scholarships, and Er. Mudasir, Head of Department at Aryans College of Engineering, also attended the event.
Amir, born in 1990 in Bijbehara, Jammu and Kashmir, tragically lost both his arms in an accident. His dedication to cricket has garnered widespread recognition, including an invitation from Sachin Tendulkar to play the first ball of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL). Other prominent figures like Virat Kohli, Harbhajan Singh, Navjot Sidhu, Ashish Chopra, and Ajay Jadeja have also commended his passion. Amir’s unique playing style involves bowling with his legs and batting using his shoulder and neck.
Aryans Group, established in 2007, operates eight different colleges offering programs in Engineering, Law, Management, Agriculture, Nursing, Pharmacy, Education, and Physiotherapy.
