Patiala will once again host the Military Literature Festival on February 16th at Khalsa College. This is the third time the city will be hosting this event, solidifying its position as a leading center for military literature in Punjab.
The poster for the festival was released by Lieutenant General (Retd.) Chetinder Singh, AVSM, SM, VSM, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav, Brigadier Advitya Madan, ADC (Urban Development) Navreet Kaur Sekhon, and PPSC Secretary Charanjit Singh. These officials also held a meeting to finalize the details of the program.

Dr. Preeti Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, emphasized that Patiala has become the leading district in Punjab to host the Military Literature Festival for the third consecutive time, in line with Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s announcement to hold the festival in all districts of the state. She extended an open invitation to the residents of Patiala to attend and enjoy the festival, which offers free admission.
Highlights of the Festival:
The Military Literature Festival on February 16th will feature a variety of events, including:
- Wreath laying ceremony at the Cenotaph near YPS Chowk
- “Braveheart” motorcycle rally from the Polo Ground
- “Josh” and band display at Khalsa College
- Exhibits showcasing military tanks and equipment
- Performances by warrior dancers
- Equestrian show
- Gatka demonstrations
- Exhibits of antique items and rare stamps
- Counseling sessions on recruitment in the Army, ITBP, and Police
- Food court
