PSPCL Ensures Uninterrupted Power Supply and Swift Complaint Resolution for Summer and Paddy Season: Harbhajan Singh

  • Dedicated Control Rooms Set Up at Zonal Levels and Head Office in Patiala

Chandigarh, May 31, 2025

Punjab Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO announced that Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has implemented extensive measures to ensure a seamless power supply and efficient complaint resolution during the upcoming summer and paddy season, as well as during potential disruptions from heavy rains and windstorms.

Highlighting the proactive stance of the state government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s “pro-people” leadership, Minister ETO stated that PSPCL has established dedicated control rooms at each zonal level and a central control room at its Patiala head office to monitor the power supply round-the-clock.

To improve consumer accessibility, ETO outlined multiple communication channels for registering complaints related to power supply or billing. Consumers can use the PSPCL Mobile App (available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store), send an SMS or call 1912, give a missed call to the toll-free number 1800-180-1512, or reach out via WhatsApp on 96461-01912.

The minister elaborated on the PSPCL Mobile App’s features, describing it as a user-friendly platform for managing electricity needs. The app allows users to view and download current and past bills, monitor energy usage, and make secure payments. It also enables consumers to file complaints about outages, faulty meters, or billing issues, with real-time status updates. Additionally, the app sends alerts about planned outages and other critical notifications, ensuring hassle-free electricity management.

ETO further detailed PSPCL’s digital support options for customer convenience. The 24/7 helpline 1912 accepts calls or SMS for quick issue resolution. A missed call to 1800-180-1512 provides instant updates on billing, payment confirmations, and supply status at no cost. The WhatsApp service on 96461-01912 allows users to check bills, payment status, lodge complaints, and get service updates instantly.

Consumers can send “No Supply” to 1912 for automatic registration of power outage complaints, and unresolved issues can be escalated via the app or by messaging 1912, the minister added. ETO reassured the public of the government’s readiness, emphasizing that these measures align with a consumer-first approach to meet peak agricultural demands.
