Punjab Cadet Tops NDA Merit List, Aspires to Fly Sukhoi SU-30MKI

Chandigarh, October 25

Armaanpreet Singh, a student from Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI), has topped the All India merit list for the National Defense Academy (NDA).

Key Achievements:

  • All India Rank 1: Armaanpreet, a resident of Gurdaspur district, secured the top rank in the NDA-153 Merit List.
  • Third Cadet from MRSAFPI: He is the third cadet from the Institute to achieve this feat in the past 12 years.
  • Air Force Aspiration: Armaanpreet aims to fly the Sukhoi SU-30MKI fighter jet in the near future.

Other Cadets’ Success: Fourteen more cadets from MRSAFPI have made it to the merit list. Cadet Keshav Singla secured the 15th rank.

Minister’s Congratulatory Message: Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora congratulated the cadets and wished them success in their future endeavors.

Institute’s Director’s Remarks: Major General Ajay H. Chauhan, Director of MRSAFPI, praised the cadets’ achievements and encouraged them to continue their pursuit of excellence.

MRSAFPI’s Success: The Institute has a strong track record of producing successful cadets, with 238 cadets joining various Service Training Academies and 160 alumni being commissioned as officers in the Defence Services.
