The Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board, dedicated to the well-being of construction workers, has been recognized with the prestigious SKOCH Award.

The award was presented to Labour Secretary Manvesh Singh Sidhu IAS, Labour Commissioner Rajiv Kumar Gupta IAS, and Deputy Secretary Jashandeep Singh Kang at the 99th SKOCH Summit held in New Delhi.

Established in 2003, the SKOCH Award is considered one of India’s highest civilian honors, recognizing individuals, projects, and institutions that contribute to the nation’s progress. It is also a benchmark for excellence in governance, finance, and technology.

The Punjab B.O.C. Welfare Board participated in the SKOCH Award nomination process under the “Labour” domain, with the project “Building and Other Construction Worker Welfare Schemes.” After passing through multiple rounds of scrutiny and presentations, the Board secured the highest votes in the popular voting stage, ultimately earning the SKOCH Award.
