Government Allocates ₹461.50 Crore Budget; Warns Against Negligence in Social Security Schemes

Social Security, Women, and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur announced that the Punjab government has disbursed financial assistance amounting to ₹437.15 crore for the welfare of persons with disabilities in the state.

Minister’s Statement :

Dr. Baljit Kaur emphasized that the government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann , is dedicated to supporting the poor and vulnerable sections of society. She directed officials to ensure timely disbursement of financial aid to eligible beneficiaries.

She warned that any negligence in implementing government schemes would not be tolerated, stating, “Officials found derelict in their duties will face strict consequences.”
