This commitment was reaffirmed by Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema at the Investors Conclave organized by the Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department, Invest Punjab, and the Punjab Infrastructure Development Board.
Cheema emphasized the state’s rich cultural and historical heritage, including Mughal, Sikh, and British-era buildings, which offer immense tourism potential. He highlighted the Chief Minister’s personal interest in promoting Punjab on the global tourism map.

The Ranjit Sagar lake was presented as a flagship project, expected to significantly boost the tourism sector. The successful Tourism Summit held last year was cited as evidence of the government’s commitment to promoting tourism, and investor-friendly policies were highlighted.
A presentation showcased several heritage properties, including Darbar Hall and Gol Kothi in Kapurthala, Sangrur Kothi, Aam Khas Bagh in Sirhind, Pinkcassia Tourist Complex in Rupnagar, and Kulara Island in Pathankot, seeking investor collaboration for their development.
