Punjab Government Launches Dedicated WhatsApp Helpline for NRIs to Report Grievances, Says Minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal

In a move aimed at addressing the concerns of Non-Resident Indian (NRI) Punjabis, the Punjab Government, under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, has introduced a dedicated WhatsApp helpline at 9056009884. This initiative allows NRIs to report their problems and complaints directly. All submissions will be promptly forwarded to the appropriate departments and to the ADGP of the NRI Wing of Punjab Police for immediate resolution.

For additional details and support, NRIs can visit the official website nri.punjab.gov.in, which offers comprehensive information on the NRI Police Wing, the State Commission for NRIs, and the NRI Sabha.

Administrative Reforms and NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal further announced that the NRI Affairs Department is now providing countersigning and attestation services for a variety of documents. These include, but are not limited to, birth certificates, certificates for unavailability of a birth certificate, late birth entries, police clearance certificates, medical certificates, educational qualification certificates, driving licenses, death certificates, marriage and divorce certificates, decrees, adoption deeds, affidavits, and fingerprint certificates. NRIs can easily apply online via the E-Sanad portal to have these documents countersigned from the comfort of their homes.
