In a landmark move championing women’s empowerment and fostering gender parity, the Government of Punjab has formulated and enacted The Punjab Civil Services (Reservation of Posts for Women) Rules. These forward-thinking regulations establish a 33% reservation for female candidates across all classifications for appointments to Group A, B, C, and D positions within Government departments, as well as in the various Boards and Corporations operating throughout the State of Punjab.

Dr. Baljit Kaur, Punjab’s Minister for Social Security, Women and Child Development, conveyed her sincere appreciation to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for this insightful decision. She affirmed that this groundbreaking initiative underscores the Punjab Government’s steadfast dedication to cultivating a gender-neutral, inclusive, and just society.
