Reaffirming the Punjab Government’s commitment to creating employment opportunities for the youth, Punjab Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Minister Hardeep Mundian on Wednesday distributed appointment letters to 48 newly recruited District System Managers (DSMs) and Assistant System Managers (ASMs) at Punjab Bhawan, Chandigarh.
Congratulating the selected candidates, the Cabinet Minister said that the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led government has been conducting recruitment drives in a transparent, merit-based, and time-bound manner to ensure deserving candidates receive opportunities without delay.
He informed that the Punjab Land Records Society had invited applications on April 15, 2025, for the recruitment of District System Managers and Assistant System Managers. Following a transparent and merit-based selection process, 11 candidates were selected as District System Managers and 37 as Assistant System Managers.
The newly appointed officials will undergo a comprehensive two-month training programme at the Office of the Director Land Records, Jalandhar. The training will include one month of revenue administration training and one month of field training to equip them with the professional skills and practical experience required for efficient service delivery.
Hardeep Singh Mundian said the recruitment marks another important step in the government’s efforts to strengthen public service delivery through qualified and skilled human resources.
Praising the vision of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Minister stated that youth empowerment and employment generation remain among the government’s highest priorities. He highlighted that the Punjab Government has already provided more than 67,000 government jobs through a transparent recruitment process, restoring confidence among young job aspirants.

The Minister urged the newly recruited officials to perform their duties with dedication, integrity, and professionalism while contributing to the modernization of land records administration and the enhancement of citizen-centric services across Punjab.
Encouraging the recruits to work honestly and remain committed to public service, Mundian advised them not to be influenced by misleading advice or external pressures. He emphasized that as custodians of a vital public service system, they must uphold the highest standards of integrity and become active partners in the government’s vision of building a “Rangla Punjab.”
Speaking on the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner Revenue Anurag Verma congratulated the newly appointed employees and noted that their selection was made entirely on merit, without any recommendations or influence.
He emphasized that Punjab, being an agrarian state, has a deep connection with land and land-related services, making the role of DSMs and ASMs extremely significant. With land records across the state already digitized, these officials will play a crucial role in maintaining, updating, and managing records through modern technological systems.
Verma expressed confidence that the newly recruited officers would utilize their technical expertise, dedication, and integrity to strengthen Punjab’s digital land records management system and deliver efficient public services.
Among those present on the occasion were Special Secretary-cum-Director Land Records Paramvir Singh, along with senior officers from the Revenue Department, Punjab Land Records Society, and the Directorate of Land Records, Punjab.
