Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh launched the “Sirjan” mobile app to improve maternal and newborn healthcare. This innovative digital platform aims to empower healthcare providers to identify and manage high-risk pregnancies effectively.

Key Features of the Sirjan App:

  • High-Risk Pregnancy Identification: The app will help healthcare providers identify high-risk pregnancies early on.
  • Comprehensive Care: It will facilitate comprehensive antenatal, intra-partum, and postnatal care.
  • Digital Record Keeping: The app will enable digital recording of vital parameters, simplifying data management.
  • Informed Decision-Making: It will provide data-driven insights to support informed decision-making.

By leveraging technology, the “Sirjan” app is expected to significantly reduce maternal mortality rates in Punjab. The pilot phase will be implemented in Taran Taran and Gurdaspur districts, with plans for a wider rollout based on its success.
