Chandigarh/Faridkot, May 21

Significant Breakthrough in Anti-Gangster Operations

In a major step toward ensuring a safe and secure Punjab, as per the directives of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab, in collaboration with Faridkot Police, arrested two associates of foreign-based gangster Arsh Dalla on May 21, 2025. The operation was announced by Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav, highlighting the state’s ongoing efforts to curb organized crime.

Details of the Arrests

The arrested individuals were identified as Vishal Singh from Sri Muktsar Sahib and Onkar Singh from Gamewala village in Ferozepur. Police recovered two .30 bore pistols and six live cartridges from their possession, dealing a significant blow to the criminal network.

Criminal Intent Uncovered

DGP Gaurav Yadav revealed that Vishal Singh, who was recently released on bail, was in constant communication with Arsh Dalla and actively planning to eliminate a rival gang member. “The accused was awaiting instructions from his foreign-based handlers to execute a sensational crime in Punjab,” Yadav stated. Preliminary investigations indicate a broader conspiracy, with further probes underway to uncover additional associates and establish the network’s linkages.
