The Punjab Police Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) arrested former MLA Satkar Kaur Gehri and her nephew, Jaskeerat Singh, for drug peddling in Kharar.
Drug Bust and Seizures: Police teams apprehended the accused while they were attempting to sell 100 grams of heroin. A subsequent search of their residence led to the recovery of an additional 28 grams of heroin, 1.56 lakh cash, gold ornaments, and four luxury vehicles.
Investigation and Arrest: The ANTF received a tip-off about the accused’s involvement in drug trafficking. A sting operation was conducted, and the accused were caught red-handed while trying to sell drugs to a decoy. One police officer sustained minor injuries during the arrest.
Ongoing Investigation: Further investigations are underway to uncover the extent of the accused’s drug trafficking activities and identify any potential accomplices.
