Punjab Police Seize Rs 1.07 Crore Drug Money, Bust International Network

Chandigarh/Amritsar, July 28: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Punjab Police have arrested two individuals and seized over Rs 1.07 crore in drug money. The accused were working for a foreign-based drug syndicate led by Gurjant Singh Bholu and Kinderbir Singh Sunny Dyal.

The Counter Intelligence Amritsar unit apprehended Dilbag Singh and Kamaldeep Singh from Amritsar, along with a money counting machine, two mobile phones, and a car. The duo was allegedly tasked with collecting drug money and sending it to the syndicate leaders through the hawala channel.

Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav stated that the police are committed to eradicating the drug menace from Punjab as per the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. Further investigations are underway to dismantle the entire drug network.
