Punjab Police Thwart Attempted Targeted Killing, Arrest Six Kaushal Chaudhary Gang Members

In a significant operation, Punjab Police have foiled a potential targeted killing attempt by arresting six members of the notorious Kaushal Chaudhary gang.
Key Arrests:
- Puneet Lakhanpal and Narinder Kumar alias Lalli: Two key shooters linked to the murders of prominent figures like kabaddi player Sandeep Singh Nangal Ambian and Sukhmeet Singh alias Deputy.
- Other Arrests: Harpreet Singh alias Happal, Gurbhinder Singh, Sandeep Singh, and Maninderjit Singh alias Shinda, all with links to the gang and involvement in various criminal activities.
Six Pistols Recovered:
Police recovered six .30 bore foreign-made pistols and 40 rounds of ammunition from the arrested individuals.

Extortion Attempt in Rajasthan:
DGP Gaurav Yadav revealed that the gang was also involved in an extortion attempt, firing indiscriminately at the Highway King Hotel in Rajasthan and demanding ₹5 crores.

DGP Yadav emphasized the Punjab Police’s commitment to making the state safe and secure. He highlighted that the arrested individuals have a history of criminal activities and were evading arrest for the past three years.
