Punjab Police Thwart Target Killings, Arrest Bambiha-Kaushal Gang Members
Chandigarh/Jalandhar, October 20
Punjab Police has successfully foiled three planned target killings by arresting five key members of the Bambiha-Kaushal gang. This operation aligns with Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s directive to eradicate organized crime from the state.
Arrests and Weapons Recovery: The arrested individuals include Jaspreet Singh alias Jassa, Harshdeep Singh, Shekhar, Gagandeep Singh alias Ginni Bajwa, and Amit Sahota. Police seized eight pistols and one revolver, along with 15 live cartridges, from their possession.
Criminal Activities: The arrested accused were involved in various serious crimes, including extortion, murder, and arms trafficking, across multiple districts of Punjab.
Ongoing Investigation: Further investigations are underway to dismantle the gang’s network and identify any additional members involved in these criminal activities.

Operation Details: Jalandhar Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma shared that police teams conducted a naka at BSF Chowk and apprehended three accused, recovering six weapons. Subsequent operations led to the arrest of two more gang members and the seizure of three more weapons.
Cases Registered: Two separate cases have been registered against the arrested individuals under the Arms Act at Police Station New Baradari and Police Station Bhargo Camp in Jalandhar.
