Punjab Raises Sugarcane SAP to Rs 401 per Quintal

Chandigarh, November 26

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced a Rs 10 per quintal increase in the State Advised Price (SAP) for sugarcane, making it the highest in the country. The new SAP for early varieties will be Rs 401 per quintal, while mid-late varieties will fetch Rs 391 per quintal.

This move aims to further support sugarcane farmers in the state and ensure their economic prosperity. The Punjab government has consistently prioritized the welfare of farmers, and this latest decision reinforces that commitment.
