Punjab School Education Board Declares Class VIII Results for 2024-2025 Academic Year

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), under the dynamic leadership of Chairman Dr. Amarpal Singh, announced the results of the Class VIII examination for the academic year 2024-2025 on April 4, 2025. This year, a total of 290,471 (two lakh ninety thousand four hundred seventy-one) students from 1,047 schools across Punjab appeared for the examination. Out of these, 282,627 (two lakh eighty-two thousand six hundred twenty-seven) students have been promoted, achieving an impressive pass percentage of 97.30%.
Top Performers
The results highlighted exceptional performances by the toppers:
- Puneet Verma, son of Shri Ashok Verma and Neetu Verma (Roll No. 8025370012), from Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School, A-225, Chiet Khalsa Diwan, Model Town, Hoshiarpur, secured the first position with a perfect score of 100%.
- Navjot Kaur, daughter of Mr. Karanjit Singh and Veerpal Kaur (Roll No. 8025227565), from Sant Mohan Das Memorial Senior Secondary School, Kot Sukhia, Faridkot, also scored 100% and clinched the second position.
- Navjot Kaur, daughter of Shri Gurmej Singh and Kuljit Kaur (Roll No. 802511174), from Guru Nanak Public Senior Secondary School, Channan Ke (Adda Nath Di Khui), Amritsar, secured the third rank with an outstanding 99.83%.
As per PSEB rules, in cases where candidates score equal marks, the younger candidate is awarded the higher rank.

Chairman’s Remarks
Dr. Amarpal Singh, Chairman of PSEB, emphasized the board’s commitment to conducting examinations with enhanced rigor and transparency this year. He stated, “The board examinations have been organized with greater diligence than ever before. To make future examinations more effective, we are working on multiple initiatives, including improving the quality of question papers and refining the curriculum.” He congratulated the successful students and encouraged those who didn’t pass to prepare for the supplementary exams.
Result Details and Accessibility
The complete results, including candidate details, have been uploaded to the official PSEB website (www.pseb.ac.in) and www.indiaresults.com for easy access by students, parents, and schools.
Supplementary Examination
Students who could not be promoted in this examination will have the opportunity to appear for a supplementary exam in June 2025. A separate examination form must be submitted by the concerned students, and the schedule will be announced later through school logins and various newspapers.

The result declaration ceremony was attended by key PSEB officials, including Parleen Kaur Brar, PCS, Secretary, Punjab School Education Board, Lovish Chawla, Controller of Examinations, and other concerned branch officers.
