Punjab has emerged as the leader in grievance redressal across India, according to the Grievance Redressal Index developed by the Government of India.
This achievement reflects the unwavering commitment of the state government to effectively address citizen concerns, said Punjab Governance Reforms and Public Grievances Minister Aman Arora.

Key Factors in Punjab’s Success:
- The Grievance Redressal Index considers two key aspects: timely disposal and quality of grievance resolution.
- Data for the period January 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024, was used for the ranking.
- Punjab secured an impressive score of 62.27%, surpassing all other states receiving over 20,000 grievances.
Government’s Dedication to Grievance Redressal:
- Strict parameters were developed for the Index, including timely resolution rates, grievance redressal rates, and citizen feedback.
