The Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board will be organizing the All India Services Chess (Men and Women) Tournament from 5th to 13th February, 2025 in Goa. Trials for the Punjab men’s and women’s chess teams will be held on January 20 at 10 AM at the Multipurpose Games Stadium, Mohali.

A spokesperson for the Sports Department further informed that employees from security services/paramilitary forces/central police organizations/police/RPF/CISF/BSF/ITBP and NSG, autonomous bodies/undertakings/public sector banks, as well as central ministry-run banks, can participate in these trials. However, casual/daily wage earners, temporary employees, and newly recruited employees who have been in regular service for less than 6 months, are excluded. Other government employees (regular) from various departments can participate only after obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective departments. Participants will have to bear their own expenses for travel, accommodation, and food during the tournament.
