Punjab to Manufacture BMW Parts, Boosting Local Industry

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has pledged full support to Modren Automotives, a company set to manufacture critical components for BMW vehicles in the state.
A delegation from Modren Automotives met with Mann to discuss their plans for expanding their operations in Punjab. The company has secured an order from BMW AG Munich for 2.5 million Differential Pinion Shafts, valued at Rs 150 crore. This marks a significant milestone as Modren Automotives becomes the first Indian company to supply parts to BMW.
Mann assured the company of the state government’s support and cooperation for their future endeavors. He accepted their invitation to lay the foundation stone for the new manufacturing plant next month. The CM expressed pride in Punjab’s ability to produce parts for a leading automotive giant, emphasizing its potential to boost industrial growth and international recognition.
Mann reiterated the state’s commitment to creating an investor-friendly environment through its single-window system. He highlighted Punjab’s potential for industrial growth, citing its communal harmony, industrial peace, and conducive atmosphere.
