Chandigarh, May 4
The Punjab Vigilance Bureau has registered a case against Satish Kumar Meena, former Manager of Punjab Gramin Bank, Branch Bhoodan, District Malerkotla, in line with the zero-tolerance policy of the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab Government.
Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that the case was registered following an investigation into Complaint No. 232/2025 from Sangrur.
The spokesperson stated that the accused, Satish Kumar Meena, had abused his official position and violated the rules of Punjab Gramin Bank. He allegedly fraudulently withdrew a total of Rs. 9,64,600 from 19 bank accounts of deceased pensioners on different dates during June and July 2023.

A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against the accused at the Vigilance Bureau Police Station, Patiala. Further investigation is underway.
