An internal complaint has been received concerning the officer in question. Following this, appropriate disciplinary action has been initiated. Lakhbir Singh, PPS, who was posted as Senior Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Bureau, Amritsar, has been placed under suspension for unauthorized interference in matters beyond his official jurisdiction.

As per the orders, during the period of suspension, his headquarters will be the office of the Director General of Police, Punjab, Chandigarh. Disciplinary proceedings are underway, and the matter is being thoroughly examined in accordance with prescribed rules and procedures.
