Punjabi University Environment Society Hosts Nukkad Nataks to Promote Mission LiFE Themes

Patiala, 23 April
On April 23, the Punjabi University Environment Society, in collaboration with the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Chandigarh, organized a series of Nukkad Nataks across various locations in Sangrur district. Dr. Onkar Singh Brraich, Head of the Department of Zoology and Environmental Sciences at Punjabi University, stated that these street plays were performed to highlight the seven themes of Mission LiFE. The performances took place at venues such as Government High School, Satoj, School of Eminence, Chhajli, and Government Ranbir College, Sangrur.

The Nukkad Nataks aimed to raise awareness among students, faculty, and local villagers about the seven Mission LiFE themes: Save Energy, Save Water, Say No to Single-Use Plastics, Reduce E-Waste, Adopt Sustainable Food Systems, Reduce Waste, and Adopt a Healthy Lifestyle. The initiative received an enthusiastic response from students and faculty members, who actively engaged with the performances.
