
Chandigarh, January 7:
Punjab Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sibin C announced the publication of the final electoral roll for 2025 and handed over CDs containing the roll (without photographs) to representatives of recognized political parties in the state.
During a meeting held at the CEO Office, Sibin C revealed that the total number of registered voters in Punjab as of January 7, 2025, stands at 2,13,80,565, comprising:
- Male voters: 1,12,31,744
- Female voters: 1,01,48,076
- Third-gender voters: 745
- Non-Resident Indian (NRI) voters: 1,611
- Persons with Disabilities (PwDs): 1,56,130
- Service voters: 1,01,257

The CEO further shared that Punjab currently has a total of 24,446 polling stations, with 8,062 in urban areas and 16,384 in rural regions. All polling stations are equipped with essential amenities, including ramps, drinking water, lighting, chairs, and toilets, ensuring a comfortable voting experience for all voters.
Sibin C urged representatives of political parties to appoint booth-level agents (BLAs) at each polling station. He emphasized that their active involvement would help maintain transparency throughout the voter registration and list publication processes.
The meeting was attended by Additional CEO Harish Nayar, Joint CEO Sakatar Singh Bal, Election Officer Anju Bala, other officials from the CEO office, and representatives from various political parties.
