₹35.50 Crore Previously Released, Additional ₹35.50 Crore Sanctioned for 12 Worst-Hit Districts

Punjab Revenue, Rehabilitation, and Disaster Management Minister Hardeep Mundian announced today that the Punjab Government, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is fully dedicated to compensating losses incurred by people due to floods and ensuring prompt relief and rehabilitation.
He stated that, as an immediate measure, the state government has released a total of ₹71 crore to address the crisis. Of this, ₹35.50 crore was already disbursed to all districts in the first phase, and an additional ₹35.50 crore has now been sanctioned for 12 severely affected districts that have faced the maximum impact of the floods.

Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner Revenue Anurag Verma provided district-wise details of the additional funds: Amritsar (₹5 crore), Bathinda (₹2 crore), Barnala (₹1 crore), Faridkot (₹1 crore), Ferozepur (₹5 crore),crore), Sangrur (₹1.5 crore), and Tarn Taran (₹5 crore).
Mundian emphasized that every possible effort is being made to protect lives and property and to provide timely support to affected families. He added that the Mann Government is focusing on both immediate relief
