Patiala, 12 January (Sports Desk)
India has announced its 15-member squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against England, with the return of fast bowler Mohammed Shami as a key highlight. The series begins on January 22.
Shami’s last appearance for India was in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup final in November 2023. He has been absent since then due to ankle surgery and knee issues.
Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal are not included in the squad, with Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel taking on wicketkeeping duties. Jasprit Bumrah is also absent as he continues to recover from back issues sustained during the Sydney Test.
