Speaker Sandhwan Instructs Punjabi University: Submit Expert Committee Report on ‘Mahan Kosh’ Within Two Weeks

Chandigarh, May 6, 2025:
Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan convened a meeting today with senior officials from Punjabi University, Patiala, and the Punjab Language Department at the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Secretariat to address corrections needed in the ‘Mahan Kosh,’ compiled by Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha. He held detailed discussions with the Dean of Punjabi University regarding errors identified in the ‘Mahan Kosh’ and directed immediate action to rectify them. During the meeting, he instructed officials to reprint the ‘Mahan Kosh’ once corrections are made.
Speaker Sandhwan directed the Dean of Punjabi University, Patiala, to convene a meeting with the Expert Committee, constituted by the university, within 15 days and submit their recommendations to the Punjab Government for appropriate action.
