THE 6TH NATIONAL SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT LAW MEDIATION COMPETITION

The 6th RGNUL National Sports and Entertainment Law Mediation Competition, 2024 was organized by the Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution, RGNUL (CADR) online over a period of 3 days, from 29th to 31st March 2024. The event started with enlightening words of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Jai Shankar Singh highlighting the importance of mediation in legal proceedings. The event witnessed participants competing with full vigour featuring a 38 colleges, a new milestone in the number of participating teams in the history of the competition. Moreover, the event was graced by the presence of more than 50 professionals who acted as Expert Assessors who displayed their depth in the field of dispute resolution by providing their intricate judgment and elaborate feedback. The competition was held in association with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as our Principal Knowledge Partner, an establishment known and revered for its commitment to dispute resolution. Further, we were delighted to have Markanda Advocates as our Expert Partner along with SCC Times as Media Partner. The event under the overall guidance of Dr. Gurmanpreet Kaur, Associate Professor of Law and Dr. Wazida Rahman, Assistant Professor of Law ended with words of knowledge by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Jai Shankar Singh and Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Anand Pawar.
