Patiala, 8 July (Desk)

Theatre has served as a timeless reflection of society and its realities since ancient times. It has consistently provided inspiration for generations, a wellspring of stories that resonate across the ages. While cinematic brilliance may captivate modern audiences, live theatre retains a unique charm, an experience as evocative as the scent of the first rain.

On July 7th, the Patiala audience witnessed such magic firsthand. NAAT SANSAR presented “Aao, Tanik Prem Karen,” a play penned by Vibha Rani and directed by Vinod Kaushal, at the NZCC Auditorium.

The performance, beautifully delivered by Dolly Kapoor and Vinod Kaushal himself, captured the essence of an aging couple rekindling their youthful love. However, the play also confronts the harsh reality of children leaving the nest to build their own lives.

Kapoor and Kaushal delivered natural, captivating performances, leaving an indelible mark on the audience. Harsh Sethi’s lighting design and Kamaldeep Timmy’s music further enhanced the production, adding the finishing touches to a crown jewel for Patiala’s theatrical scene.
