Chandigarh, November 26
Two young women from Mohali, Charanpreet Kaur and Mahak, have been selected for pre-commission training at the prestigious Air Force Academy, Dundigal, starting January 2025. Both cadets are students of the Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for Girls in SAS Nagar.
Charanpreet Kaur, daughter of Harminder Singh Banwait, secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 4, while Mahak, daughter of Anil Kumar Dahiya, achieved an AIR of 23.
Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora congratulated the cadets on their remarkable achievement and expressed confidence that their success will inspire more girls to pursue careers in the armed forces. He highlighted the Punjab government’s commitment to empowering women and creating opportunities for them to serve the nation.
