Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna Seek Blessings at Golden Temple Ahead of “Chhaava” Premiere

Bollywood stars Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar, just days before the theatrical release of their highly anticipated film, “Chhaava.” The actors sought spiritual blessings for their upcoming historical drama.
“Chhaava” tells the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of the legendary Maratha warrior king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Vicky Kaushal portrays the titular role, while Rashmika Mandanna plays Maharani Yesubai Bhonsale.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film boasts a stellar cast, including Akshaye Khanna as Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, Ashutosh Rana as Sarsenapati Hambirao Mohite, and Divya Dutta as Soyarabai. The movie depicts the struggles of the Maratha Empire during a turbulent period of Indian history.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, “Chhaava” is a big-budget production (₹130 crore) with a runtime of 161 minutes. The film will be released in IMAX format on February 14, 2025.

The music for “Chhaava” is composed by A.R. Rahman, with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. Two songs, “Jaane Tu” (released January 31, 2025) and “Aaya Re Toofan” (released February 6, 2025), have already been released and are generating positive buzz.
The actors’ visit to the Golden Temple reflects their respect for the historical and cultural significance of the film’s subject matter. It is seen as a gesture of reverence for the story they are about to bring to audiences.
